AS9100
Training is a continuous process
I look after a client who is approved to the aerospace quality management standard AS9100 revB.
I’ve been up to speed on the ‘revB’ for some time now, but it’s all changing!
AS9100 revC is out and we’ve to get ready for an assessment in March 2011 to this new version.
In fact the standard has been out and ‘live’ for some time now, but it’s taken a while for the certification auditors to be re-trained, or should I say, ‘trained’ in the modified and renewed requirements.
What this means to me is that I need to get myself ‘trained’ ASAP so that I can advise and assist my client with the transition or upgrade, ensure we have implemented it properly by carrying out internal audits, and all of this before assessment in March next year. I know it’s not going to be cheap either.
I’d better get a move on!
